Interviews/Questions

I will be interviewing Carson Spence and his parents. Carson has school during the weekdays and his parents both work jobs during the week. His mother has Thursday and Friday afternoon breaks and his father has Friday as an off day. This means that Friday is the best day to interview his parents. Carson however, I believe the best time to interview him is during or before school, as we both go to the same high school.

Interview Questions for Carson:
1. Why did you play golf over other sports?
2. How did you feel when you made the high school team?
3. What is the best part of your game?
4. How much work does it take to get to the level you are playing at?
5. What is your overall goal in golf?
These questions are important as they all pertain to his playing career in high school and his future. Question 1 is an inquiry to help the readers understand his thought on why he chose golf, as it is not the "coolest" sport to play. Question 2 triggers emotion for the reader and Carson, as it makes him reflect on his past. Question 3 lets the readers know why Carson is so good at what he does. Question 4 is to show the readers how much work it actually takes to compete at the level he is competing at. Question 5 will give insight on Carson's future plans.

For his parents, Larry and Michelle:
1. How do you feel about Carson pursuing his academic career?
2. Do you believe he has the ability to get a scholarship for college?
3. Did you ever think that he was capable of this in earlier years?
All of these questions are to see what his parents are thinking about his decision and future. They use their emotions to answer these questions, which will appeal to the reader.

The picture on the table of contents was too generic and did not have any action, and I was planning to meet with Carson (the person in all of the pictures) to have another shoot in which I could obtain more photos of him playing. I was hoping to ask him a couple more questions and put more quotes from him into the article. The question I planned to ask were "If golf does not work out, what do you plan to do", "Where do you see yourself in 10 years?" and "What professional golfer/ person do you look up to?". These would have created a friendly interaction that the audience could relate ...

Project 2 revision On October 25, 1938, the United States Congress passed the Fair Labor Standards Act, which established the first mandated minimum wage. The first wage was set at $0.25 per hour, which equates to $4.55 in 2020 with inflation (2009). In 2020, the federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour. While states have manipulated this wage to fit cost of living, $7.25 is the federal law (2020).
