Table of Contents Template

I am listing these pages according to the section they belong to. It is divided into 2 sections, with them all referring to different topics but all regarding sports. The main article is found on page 65. This is so the reader will see a majority of the magazine and ads before seeing the main article. This is a strategy to get readers to read the entire magazine instead of just the main article. I only used 1 photo because the pictures looked distorted and unnatural when i tried to fit more than 1.

Cover Template

I came up with my title because i was looking for a two word title that both started with the same letter. I thought of "Sarasota Sports" because Sarasota is a well known town and I happen to live in it. The name is very catchy and will grab readers attentions. The fonts I am choosing are all for different reasons. The title is bigger and more clean cut, which makes it easy to spot and read from far away. If the text is too difficult to read from a distance, readers will never pick it up. The smaller texts fonts are more curved and the tops of the letters have a more cursive look to them. This will contrast with the title font because once the readers attention is grabbed, we want to maintain it, so you need to change up the look so it does not get repetitive.

Interviews/Questions

I will be interviewing Carson Spence and his parents. Carson has school during the weekdays and his parents both work jobs during the week. His mother has Thursday and Friday afternoon breaks and his father has Friday as an off day. This means that Friday is the best day to interview his parents. Carson however, I believe the best time to interview him is during or before school, as we both go to the same high school. Interview Questions for Carson: 1. Why did you play golf over other sports? 2. How did you feel when you made the high school team? 3. What is the best part of your game? 4.  How much work does it take to get to the level you are playing at? 5.  What is your overall goal in golf? These questions are important as they all pertain to his playing career in high school and his future. Question 1 is an inquiry to help the readers understand his thought on why he chose golf, as it is not the "coolest" sport to play. Question 2 triggers emotion for the reader a...

Scouting Locations for Photo Shoot

The place I scheduled the photo shoot for was Lakewood National Golf Club.  The best time was over the weekend, as in the afternoon the sun begins to set, and that would not have enough light, as this golf club has an abundance of trees to block the sun.

Schedule Photo Shoot

I will be taking photos of Carson Spence as he is the person I am writing my main article about. He and I both go to the same school and play on the same golf team, so we communicated through person and over the phone. As we both have school during the day, we had to choose to either do the photo shoot after school, or find time in the weekends. We found the weekend posed the best chance of quality lighting for pictures, so we chose Saturday, December 7th around 1pm.
